October 9th was my birthday, not as exciting as they used to be that's for sure. Now it is just a sign that I'm getting older- and GRAY hairs! Ugh. Anyway, when I got to work my co-worker/friend, Carly, had made my favorite funfetti cupcakes and had this beautiful rose for me. Then later her husband, Kevin, and the both of us went to dinner. Then they gave me my birthday/thank you gift (for taking all the extra radiation for her and her unborn baby at work-more posts about that to be continued...). It was a navigation system!!! I was SOOO excited! I've wanted one for quite some time now, and have already used it twice. It is so handy to have.
Then the next evening my family, my uncle Ken, Grandma & Grandpa Allen, and Steve all had dinner at my grandparent's house. The food was great (plus I'm the least picky person when it comes to food)
Instead of typical cake, I chose to have a pavlova dessert instead. It was tasty!
